The WindWalker Collection, by Angela Lane
At the end of the 1990s Angela Lane made some wonderful dingbat fonts as WindWalker64, and it was a big loss when the pages disappeared. Since then it's been one of the collections we've received the most enquiries about. Unfortunately we didn't have many of the titles, but for some time friends and readers of D-UK have been scouring their hard drives, asking others, looking around and sending what they have found, and we're now able to offer a partial collection.
You'll find some useful subjects here, and some of the animal titles in particular contain outlines not often included elsewhere (can't offhand recall seeing many moles elsewhere, for instance!). We're especially pleased that at long last those wanting a font with wolf characters will be catered for with WolfSpirit, and anyone searching for dragons or unicorns will find a good selection in Fantasy. Where possible original WindWalker font illustrations have been included in the zip files.
Warm thanks to all who put themselves out and have kindly contributed -- you know who you are -- to help us make these fonts available for others to enjoy. But a number of titles are still missing (and some original illustrations): there's a list beneath the download links below, so if you have any of these, or know anyone who does, and you/they don't mind sharing, do please send them along :)The WindWalker banner above has been reduced in size, and dates from ca. 1999.
Fonts are in TrueType format. If you have difficulty extracting files from the zip, you may need to download WinZip or a similar utility. For help with unzipping your files and installing fonts, see links on our installation page.
